Pouch Cell Hot Press Formation Machine – High Precision Hot Press Pressure Formation Machine for Polymer Lithium‑ion Cells
What Is a Pouch Cell Hot Press Formation Machine?
This equipment performs the critical formation process for polymer pouch cells under simultaneously applied heat and pressure. The formation step activates the cell and builds the SEI (solid electrolyte interphase) layer, while hot pressing improves electrolyte wetting, reduces cell thickness, and ensures flatness. Our compact machine integrates hot‑press JIG fixtures and precision charge/discharge electronics into a reliable, bench‑top or standalone system.
The incoming cell dimensions are as follows:
single-ended dual tabs (customizable based on customer-provided battery dimensions).
![]() | Category | Compatible sizes |
| Al film length L1(mm) | ≤300 | |
| Cell body length L(mm) | ≤270 | |
| Cell width W(mm) | ≤130 | |
| Cell body thickness T(mm) | 8~13 | |
| Tab length S(mm) | ≤40 | |
| Tab width W1(mm) | ≤20 |
